Earthwatch Project
By purchasing a beautiful walking stick from Stephen Einhorn you will be supporting Earthwatch’s vital Tiny Forest programme – bringing more green spaces to urban areas. Tiny Forests are fast growing, dense woodlands in urban areas which are planted using the Miyawaki method developed in Japan. Stephen and Jane were so inspired by volunteering for them that they decided to collaborate, and the walking sticks were born. Stephen, always with an eye on the beauty and potential of different materials, has chosen the strong and supple Welsh grown Hazel from sustainable forests as the wood for the stick, and the equally sustainable and 100% recyclable castor seed oil polymer for the decorative handle. Both materials are recyclable, strong, and lightweight - perfect for a walk in the woods, over the moors, or in a local park or nature reserve.
