Sustainable Living with Stephen Einhorn and Earthwatch Europe

Whilst Stephen Einhorn and Jane Best are Londoners through and through, they have always enjoyed regular forays into nature, and many designs, from the Into the Woods ring, the Liquid Collection or the organic pearl collections, are inspired by things they have found in the natural world. So it made sense for them to take their mission to make the practical things in life beautiful, and apply it to one of the most simple of human pastimes: walking.

They also wanted to reaffirm their commitment to that nature, so they have teamed up with Earthwatch Europe’s Tiny Forest programme, with 10% of the profits from the walking sticks going towards planting more forests in urban areas. By purchasing a beautiful walking stick from Stephen Einhorn you will be supporting Earthwatch’s vital Tiny Forest programme – bringing more green spaces to urban areas. Tiny Forests are fast growing, dense woodlands in urban areas which are planted using the Miyawaki method developed in Japan. Stephen and Jane were so inspired by volunteering for them that they decided to collaborate, and the walking sticks were born. Stephen, always with an eye on the beauty and potential of different materials, has chosen the strong and supple Welsh grown Hazel from sustainable forests as the wood for the stick, and the equally sustainable and 100% recyclable castor seed oil polymer for the decorative handle. Both materials are recyclable, strong, and lightweight - perfect for a walk in the woods, over the moors, or in a local park or nature reserve.
