How do I pay duties on my goods?
If you are charged any local duties or taxes, your country's Customs should try to contact you by phone (and on some occasions email) to advise you of the charges prior to delivery. Due to the volume of imports, they will usually only make one attempt to contact you. If they cannot get in contact with you, the goods may be released from customs on the condition that the duties or taxes are paid on delivery. In this instance, the courier will present you with an invoice outlining the customs charges on the first delivery attempt. If the charges cannot be paid on the first delivery attempt, the courier should leave the invoice with you and a second delivery attempt should be made on the next working day when you will again be required to pay the charges. Import charges can usually be paid by cash, cheque or credit card but this varies from country to country.
For our USA customers, if you do get charged please follow the instructions on the card you receive with delivery.
If you have any problems with delivery please phone us as soon as they arise on +44 (0) 207359 4977 or email us at shop@stepheneinhorn.co.uk
I live outside the UK, how will this affect my delivery?
For any orders that are delivered outside the United Kingdom, delays may be incurred as items go through your country's Customs & Excise and you will be liable for any local customs duty, import taxes or costs due on your purchase. These are decided on a case by case basis by your own government at the point of entry to your country and are outside our control. At present due to Brexit we cannot answer this question fully.

Gifting
Can I Get My Order Engraved?
All about engraving at Stephen Einhorn
Can I have my piece engraved?
Yes providing that there is enough room for the inscription you want.
Can you engrave the inside of a ring?
Yes we can with names and dates.
Once something is engraved can I return it?
No you cant. Once something is engraved it is classed as a bespoke piece and is non-refundable. For this reason, if you are buying a gift its always best to make sure it’s been well received before you have it engraved. If you need to exchange it for something else or for a different size, if its unengraved it’s not a problem.
Can I get something engraved that isn’t made by Stephen Einhorn?
Yes you can but we always need to see it first. Sometimes pieces have been plated in which case we cannot engrave them. They would need to be re-plated afterwards which is an additional cost and would take longer.
How quickly can I get something engraved?
If it’s something simple we can usually do it the same day. It all depends on how busy we are. If it’s a family crest or a seal engraving its usually 1-2 weeks.
Can you re-engrave some old engraving?
Absolutely, if you have worn a silver ring for years and the engraving has worn off we can redo this for you.
How much does engraving cost?
It really depends on what you would like, please email us at shop@stepheneinhorn.co.uk for a quote or call 0207 359 4977.
How To Choose The Right Ring
What if I don't know the correct ring size to order for a surprise gift?
This is a common scenario, especially with engagement rings, so don't worry you are not alone!! It is very unlikely that you will be able to guess someones exact ring finger size. When you add the item to your basket, write in the 'additional information' box that you are unsure about the ring size.
Generally, we will send you an average ring size, which you can present as your surprise gift. Then you or the recipient may send it back to us in accordance with the returns procedure detailed under our Money Back Guarantee and we will re-size it or exchange it for one at the correct size, for free.
To take advantage of the free re-sizing or exchange you must return the ring to us in its unworn, pristine, re-saleable condition with original packaging and receipt within 14 days (if for any reason you don't think you will be able to return the ring to us within the 14 day returns period please contact us at shop@stepheneinhorn.co.uk. before you place your order. Customer service is one of our top priorities and we try to be as flexible as we can. We will deal with these enquiries on a case by case basis) from the date you receive your goods, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. You will be responsible for all delivery and re-delivery charges.
Some items, such as our wood, gemstone and titanium rings, or those that are too many sizes out, cannot be resized. Therefore it is essential that you or the recipient return the ring for the correct size before wearing it. If we have to re-make the ring at a larger size and this requires the use of additional materials, we will have to charge for these, but you will be contacted before any work commences and informed of the charge.
If your ring is bespoke or has been customised in any way (e.g. with engraving) we are unable to exchange it and may not be able to re-size it. If we can re-size it, we will quote for this on a case-by-case basis.
For subsequent re-sizing charges for rings after the first free re-size please see Jewellery Services. Please note that the size of a ring affects its price if it is made in gold or platinum (due to the amount / weight of metal required). Therefore you may have to pay extra if the size you re-order is larger than the one that you purchased, or refunded if it is smaller than the original. If you have purchased a ring with a stone as a gift and the recipient wishes to have a different stone, we can arrange this for you. Please note that price variations, due to the type and quality of the replacement stone may also apply. You also have the option to exchange the gift for something else in our range or take advantage of our online purchasing Money Back Guarantee. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us at shop@stepheneinhorn.co.uk or phone +44 (0) 20 7359 4977 Tuesday to Saturday 10am-6pm GMT.

Bespoke Design
Do I have to pay anything to make an enquiry?
No, making an enquiry is absolutely free! We will give you as much help or guidance as we can before we need to get to the quoting stage.
How much is your bespoke service?
It always very hard to say as each job is different. As a rule of thumb its important to realise that having something made specially for you is always going to be a lot more expensive than buying something off the shelf. Our bespoke pieces generally start from around £1500 upwards. Its costs £250 for us to give you are very accurate quote. Should you decide not to go ahead this can be spent on any of our other products or left on your account as a credit. It is non-refundable.
Can you remake a very old ring or piece of jewellery?
Absolutely. We can make something entirely new for you or we can copy the original for you. We have yet to be presented with something we can't make. In order to do this work its necessary for you to sign a disclaimer.
As your own Diamond or Gemstone has been made or obtained from elsewhere, we cannot guarantee its nature. This includes its quality, authenticity, material or construction. Therefore we accept no responsibility for any damage caused, owing to the Diamond or Gemstones unknown nature.
How do I get something bespoke made?
If you would like us to make something bespoke for you please contact us either on the phone or via email at shop@stepheneinhorn.co.uk The more information you can give us the better. Any kind of picture reference or even a drawing on the back of an envelope is helpful. We can talk through your options and help you decide. It costs £200.00 to get a detailed and accurate quote from us. This money can be put towards the value of your bespoke product or should you decide not to go ahead, it can be spent on any of our products online or in store or kept as a credit on your account. It is non- refundable.
Who holds the copyright on my bespoke design?
We do. We hold the copyright to everything we design and make here at Stephen Einhorn in perpetuity.
Why do I have to pay £250?
Quoting in anything takes a lot of time. We usually end up doing half the artwork in order to work out metal and stone weights and labour time. It's very costly for us and we need to know you, the customer, are serious about wanting to commission something. We cannot work on spec.
If I change my mind after I've paid a 50% deposit can I get my money back?
No, your 50% deposit is non refundable. It says this very clearly in our terms and conditions.
Can anyone else buy my bespoke design?
No. Sometimes one of our customers has such a good idea that we would like to offer the design to our customers. We always do this with prior agreement, even though we don't strictly have to. It is important to bear in mind that we own the copyright to everything we make including all our bespoke designs.
What happens if I commission a bespoke piece and the person I'm giving it to doesn't like it?
We encourage our customers to decide that if they aren't sure that a bespoke design will be well received , to think of buying something that is returnable, especially engagement rings. Then you can bring it back for a refund and commission something together, which is a lovely romantic thing to do.
Can you work to a budget?
Yes we can, as long as it's enough for what you want. We will let you know what is possible and try to work within your budget.
Should I have a budget in mind?
It's always a good idea to give us a ball park figure to work from. We can then alter the design to give you as much as we possibly can but still being mindful of your requirements. We don't ask you so that we can spend your money, but so that we can try and give you what you want.
Can I use my introductory discount for something bespoke?
No we can't give discounts on bespoke work as it's so labour intensive and we are paying really skilled craftspeople to carry out this work for you. They have never agreed to take a discount on their wages. When they do we'll let you know!
Can you use the stones from a ring I have?
Yes we can. We can make something entirely new for you. In order to do this work its necessary for you to sign a disclaimer. It is at your own risk for us to carry out this work.
As your own Diamond or Gemstone has been made or obtained from elsewhere, we cannot guarantee its nature. This includes its quality, authenticity, material or construction. Therefore we accept no responsibility for any damage caused, owing to the Diamond or Gemstones unknown nature.
What is the difference between Bespoke and Customisation?
Our bespoke service is when you have asked us to create something which is not available to buy online or in our showroom. It's being made specifically for you to your requirements. Customisation of one of our available products means having a stone set or having something that we already make, engraved. Customisation makes something very personal and is cheaper than a bespoke design.
Can you make anything?
Within reason, yes. There are some things we aren't happy to do. Most things we can do. Please get in touch with our team at shop@stepheneinhorn.co.uk to find out.
I have an idea but I can't design, can you do it for me?
Yes we can and we are very happy to do this for you. If you can give us some ideas or reference that can be very helpful, but if you have no idea at all we can help.
How many times can I change the design?
We will present you with a design having taken instructions from you and then you will be able to make two changes. Each change means more artwork so we can only do this twice. If you keep changing your mind we will have to levy a second charge.
Can you copy someone else's design.
No, we do not copy other people's designs, but we can do something along similar lines.
Can I get a design done somewhere else and get you to make it?
We don't copy other people's designs.
Can you cut a ring off that's stuck on my finger and then re make it for me?
Yes, we can do this for you. There is a small charge for ring removal in our showroom. Once the ring is off, and you have paid the bespoke quote fee we will then work out a price for you to remake your ring.
I have a photo that I would like engraved onto a bespoke necklace can you do this?
Yes we can. All you need to do is decide what you would like, agree a quote, and then we can engrave this for you.
I would like a bespoke flesh tunnel made, can you do this?
Yes we can do this for you. Once you have paid the £250 quote fee we will design something for you.
Is it a good idea to get a bespoke engagement ring if I don't know the size?
No, always buy something from our showroom first to do the actual proposal. Altering a bespoke design is expensive and might even mean a remake, which you will have to pay for.
I have an antique ring that I would like sized can you do this?
Yes, we can do this but we do need to see your ring first. We can't quote on altering anything until we have seen it in the flesh. You can either bring it in to us or send it to us by registered signed for post. There will be a charge for us to send it back to you.
If I wish to go ahead having agreed the quote what are the next steps?
If you wish to go ahead with your bespoke order we ask for a 50% non-refundable deposit before we can start work. Once this is paid we will start work. We always give a date when we think we can make your piece by. If you need something by a certain date it is important to let us know.
How long will my bespoke item take?
A bespoke piece can take anything from 4-6 weeks. That's the average amount of time depending on what you have commissioned. If it's going to take longer for any reason we will always let you know.
Do you melt down old gold or silver so that I can use it for something new?
Yes, we can.
However it is a very common misconception that melting down inherited gold, silver or platinum will immediately make your new piece cheaper. Unfortunately, this is not the case. If your old jewellery is not hallmarked properly we have to get this done first to verify the quality. Then in order to keep your jewellery entirely separate from any other metal, it may get mixed with, it has to have its own casting cask. This is to ensure the integrity of your inherited metal. We then have to add extra metal for the casting process in order to make a solid piece.
The only reason for going through this process with your inherited jewellery is for sentimental reasons. We certainly understand that and we are happy to do it for you.
If you are interested in either of these services please get in touch either by phone +44 207 359 4977 or by emailshop@stepheneinhorn.co.uk
Can I use my precious gemstones?
We can take these out of old jewellery for you but we would need you to sign a disclaimer. The reason for this is that sometimes there is a crack underneath a stone that is not always apparent to the naked eye, and because we didn't supply the stone in the first place we can't be sure of the quality. However, these kinds of problems are very rare.
If you wish to go ahead and would like a detailed quote there is a £200 Non Refundable deposit in order to proceed. This deposit can be put towards the eventual commission or should you wish not to go ahead it can be spent on anything in our showroom or online store or kept as an unlimited time credit on your account.
If you are interested in either of these services please get in touch either by phone +44 207 359 4977 or by emailshop@stepheneinhorn.co.uk
Can I use my own gold?
Yes, you can use your own gold, however, it's very important to understand that this probably won't make your design cheaper. We have to keep your gold separate from other gold that we use and this comes at a cost. If we are casting your own gold it has to go in a separate flask. We do this on a case by case basis. Some customers really want their old rings used for sentimental reasons.
What happens to the metal you don't use from my old ring?
We will give it back to you or scrap it depending on what you would like us to do. The scrap value of metal is extremely low.
I have an old wedding ring, can you make it thicker so it lasts longer?
Yes, we can actually inlay your old wedding ring into a new more substantial ring. We have done this many times especially for doctors who have to wash their hands so many times they wear their wedding rings out.
I would like some ashes put into a bespoke locket or ring can you do this?
Yes, we can do this for you. We are always very careful and respectful when using a loved ones ashes. Once you decide what you would like we can seal them into a bespoke design for you.
I have a tooth that I would like to have a stone set in, can you do this?
Yes we can as long as it's a denture and not actually a live tooth in your mouth.
Where Can I Buy Stephen Einhorn Jewellery?
Can I buy Stephen Einhorn Jewellery anywhere else?
If you can it will be listed on our website. We sell our own products online and in our only London Showroom. At present, the only second party that sell our goods legitimately are 'A Bathing Ape' Japan. Any other outlets are that say they are selling our designs may be counterfeit.
Diamonds
What are the indicators of a 'good' diamond?
When hand-selecting quality diamonds our jewellers adhere to a strict criteria called 'The 4C’s’. As we are particularly concerned about where our materials come from especially diamonds so we have a fifth requirement which is 'ethical'. For this reason, we only use conflict-free diamonds.
The 4C’s are:
Colour
Clarity
Cut
Carat.
What are The 4 C’s?
The 4C’s are Colour, Clarity, Cut and Carat
Colour is one of the most important characteristics that determine the value of a diamond. An ideal diamond is totally devoid of all body colour ( colourless). Probably the only time in your life you will want something that is colourless! If you want a rare diamond they come in saturated colours such as yellow, pink, blue, green, champagne, black and rarest of all red.
Diamonds are graded on a precise colour scale established by the Gemmological Institute of America ( GIA). These range from colourless D-F and Near colourless G-J down through a progression of tinted and lighter colours K-Z. Fancy diamonds-where an intensive hue is an asset-range from Fancy light to Fancy to Fancy Intense (a good band name).
What quality of diamonds do you use?
We only use quality white diamonds of a high clarity and superior cut that maximises the brilliance fire and scintillation of the diamond as well as its carat weight. For certified diamonds we supply a GIA (Gemmological Institute of America) Diamond grading report.

How Do I Care For My Gold Jewellery?
Make sure your beautiful new Stephen Einhorn pieces last a lifetime.
Gold is very easy to look after. It’s a harder metal than silver. Different carats have different hardnesses. Gold can be polished with the polishing cloth that has been provided. If you need a replacement it can be bought here. As a side note these cloths are also great for cleaning your glasses.
Please see our metal guide for more detailed information on all the carats.
You can also clean your gold jewellery using a cheap detergent and a very soft babies toothbrush and warm water. This will get any residual dirt off.
Does gold tarnish?
Gold itself doesn’t tarnish however all precious metals are made as alloys, with other metals in them. It's these other metals that can tarnish, usually the silver element. Pure gold is too soft to work with so it needs to be hardened with different metals. Gold can be tarnished by being exposed to bleach and other strong household products.
Will my gold ring become scratched?
The short answer is yes. All metal scratches if it comes into contact with something else hard especially other metals. However gold is a hard metal and the scratches will usually be very superficial. As gold ages it gets harder, so it will scratch less and less.
It’s always a good idea to let us check over your gold Stephen Einhorn jewellery every year and to give it a complimentary polish.
Its very important to remember when you are clapping to be mindful of banging two rings together on opposite hands. You need to find a different way to clap your hands!
Can I get my Stephen Einhorn jewellery polished by your workshop?
Yes. For an expert polish and a jewellery check-up we would encourage you to bring your Stephen Einhorn jewellery to us for a free polish every year. Its good to have our experienced jewellers give your design a professional look to make sure that all is okay with your jewellery. This is to help it last.
If there is any damage that needs to be repaired we will give you a quote for this work. We will then wait to hear from you as to whether you would like this work carried out and you have agreed the price.
If you would like a quote please contact us on +44 207 359 4977 or email us at shop@stepheneinhorn.co.uk
How do I care for my Platinum jewellery?
The best way to care for this stunning metal
Please use a dry speciality polishing cloth like the one that came with your Stephen Einhorn Jewellery. As a side note these cloths are also very good for cleaning your glasses!
Platinum is a very hard metal. It can also be cleaned by using a cheap detergent, a soft babies' toothbrush and warm water.
For more detailed information on the different metals please see our metal guide.
Will my Platinum jewellery tarnish?
No.
Will my Platinum jewellery get scratched?
All metal gets scratched, especially if it starts off with a very highly polished surface, it's part of the wear and tear of the ring. However the scratches will be very superficial as Platinum is very hard. Superficial scratches can be polished out very easily. Metal also gets harder as it ages so this will happen less and less.
If you bang or knock your ring hard against another hard surface it will get damaged.
Please be aware that if you clap and you are wearing other rings on your other hand you will damage your rings by clapping. You need to find a different way of clapping if you wear fine jewellery.

How do I care for my Stephen Einhorn silver jewellery?
How to keep your sterling silver looking its best
Your recycled sterling silver jewellery design is very easy to keep clean. We have provided you with a silver polishing cloth that is impregnated with polish. Please use this to keep your silver looking lovely. If you wash the cloth it will no longer work as a polishing cloth for silver. You can replace an old silver cloth here.
Please see our metal guide for more detailed information on the different metals.
Does silver tarnish?
Silver can tarnish if not worn. One of the best ways to keep silver looking good is to wear it.
Certain things can damage or make silver go black like chlorine or sulphur or leaving it in silver dip. Please remove your silver jewellery when swimming, doing sports, or cleaning with cleaning products. Should blackening occur this is not the quality of the silver.
Silver can also be tarnished by the PH balance in your skin being too acidic. This is quite rare. If you are on medication or take recreational drugs or simply if your natural sweat is very acidic this can cause your silver to go black. If this happens we can re-polish it for you or we can rhodium plate it for you. There will be a charge for plating.
Are there any other factors that can cause tarnishing?
Silver can also be tarnished by the PH balance in your skin being too acidic. This is quite rare. If you are on medication or take recreational drugs or simply if your natural sweat is very acidic this can cause your silver to go black. If this happens we can re-polish it for you or we can rhodium plate it for you if that is necessary. Usually for this problem a professional polish will remove any black marks. There will be a charge for plating.
If silver is stored for a long time in a box it can become tarnished by the sulphur in the air. It’s not very ecological but if you need to store your silver design for any length of time the best way is to put it in a small airlock plastic bag. It will stay shiny for longer if you keep the air away from it. Then put it back in its jewellery box. Any tarnish can be polished off. If you have any problems please contact us on +44 207 359 4977 or email us at shop@stepheneinhorn.co.uk
Why is my ring making my skin sore?
If you have bought a wide silver ring, make sure you take it off before you wash your hands. If water gets trapped under your ring and the skin is damp this can cause discomfort and soreness. Make sure your ring is not too tight and your skin is dry. This is not a reflection of the quality of silver we use.
My ring is new why is it slightly scratched?
Silver will scratch over time especially if it is highly polished as it is a relatively soft metal. It is not possible to wear any metal without it becoming superficially scratched. This simply adds to the character of your piece. Silver will also become damaged if it is banged against any surface that is harder or rougher than itself. Please be careful when clapping if you are wearing rings on your other hand. Prolonged banging against another hard surface will damage your ring.
Do you plate your silver?
No we do not plate our silver. We like the colour of real metal. Also if jewellery is plated it cannot be engraved as the plating will come off. However if you are allergic to silver Rhodium plating can make it possible for you to wear it as it is a very hypo allergenic material. If you would like this service please contact us.
What type quality of silver do you use?
Our silver is 925 Sterling silver.
All of our jewellery is fully assayed by the London Assay Office to assure the purity of the metal and features a hallmark to verify this as well as our makers mark to verify its origin.

How Do I Care For My Pearl Jewellery?
Our guide to making sure your pearls stay a beautiful as the day you bought them!
It is said that as a general rule, one should put on your pearl jewellery as the last item when getting dressed and be the first thing you take off when getting undressed. This is so that if you are using hairspray or perfume, you will put your pearls on after you have used these products so they do not harm your pearls.
Pearl jewellery, being of a delicate nature, requires special care. Therefore it is important that you use the following care instructions:
Please use a dry speciality polishing cloth like the one that came with your Stephen Einhorn Jewellery. If you need a replacement cloth please follow this link As a side note these cloths are also very good for cleaning your glasses.
Don't leave your pearls in direct sunlight or dry heat.
Pearls are sensitive to strong chemicals like hair sprays, deodorants & perfumes which can discolour them, so please be careful not to get these products on your pearls.
As a pearls surface is soft, store your pearl jewellery separately to other jewellery, and store it in its original packaging.
Do not allow your pearls to get wet, as this will rot the thread and weaken it considerably.
If your pearls are worn often you should return them to us to be professionally re-strung at least once a year. This DOES incur a restringing charge. We will always let you know the cost before we go ahead.
Should I bring my pearl jewellery to be checked by you?
We encourage you to bring your jewellery back to us every year for professional servicing. Our Stephen Einhorn jewellers will take time and care to inspect your jewellery in order to determine the service that needs to be provided. If it is necessary you will receive an estimate. We will provide the service as soon as you validate the estimate. If this service is needed please contact our London shop at shop@stepheneinhorn.co.uk or phone us on +44 (0) 20 7359 4977.
How Do I Care For Leather Jewellery?
Our top tips to ensure your new leather Stephen Einhorn pieces last as long as possible
We recommend that you avoid wearing your leather jewellery in the shower or whilst swimming as contact with water, perfumes, chemicals and skin/hair oils can alter the colour of the leather and this may result in colour transference. You may wish to avoid wearing the leather against fragile or light coloured clothing as colour transfer can occasionally happen.
You may notice some slight imperfections and variation in tones to your leather however this is to be expected with a natural product and simply adds charm and uniqueness to your piece.
Can I get my leather jewellery wet?
Excessive moisture such as perspiration can also affect your jewellery so please take care when wearing your jewellery and be sure to remove it when exercising or when you are in a hot climate. Water (or any moisture) can damage and weaken your jewellery. You should not get your leather jewellery wet. You should remove your leather jewellery before bathing or swimming.
Does leather jewellery ever wear out?
The best way to think about your leather jewellery is this: look on this leather purchase in the same way that you would look on the purchase of an expensive watch with a leather strap. Occasionally you have to replace your strap through wear and tear. This will be the same for your leather design. Occasionally the leather may need to be repaired or replaced. It will not last forever as it is an organic material. If this is the case please contact us.
Should I get my leather jewellery checked regularly?
We encourage you to bring your leather jewellery back to us every year for professional servicing. Our Stephen Einhorn jewellers will take time and care to inspect your jewellery in order to determine the service that needs to be provided. If it is necessary you will receive an estimate. How do I care for my London Oak Jewellery?
How to care for this very special collection
We have developed an impregnation and sealing technique to protect our rare 2000-Year-Old London Oak. Whilst every effort has been made to preserve the rare oak used in our fine jewellery, it will require extra special care. We advise you to follow these London Oak care instructions:
Avoid immersing your 2000-Year-Old London Oak jewellery in water or liquids e.g. whilst washing up, washing hands, bathing, showering, etc. Do not allow it to come into contact with any domestic or industrial cleaning agents and do not use a wet type silver cloth, silver dip or jewellery dip.
To clean your 2000-Year-Old Thames-Wood jewellery. Please use the dry speciality polishing cloth like the one that came with your Stephen Einhorn Jewellery. If you need a replacement cloth please follow this link As a side note these cloths are also very good for cleaning your glasses.
Try not to leave it in strong direct sunlight as this may lighten the colour of the wood.
As jewellery made with our 2000-Year-Old London Oak is relatively soft it will scratch and wear over time, especially if it comes into contact with harder metals such as steel, stone and concrete etc.
Our London Oak has survived 2000 years of history and with the right care it should continue to last. The best way to think about your London Oak piece is this: look on this purchase in the same way that you would look on the purchase of an expensive watch with a leather strap. Occasionally you have to replace your strap through wear and tear. This may be the same for your London Oak piece. Occasionally the wood may need to be repaired or replaced. If this is the case please contact us.
We encourage you to bring your London Oak jewellery back to us every year for professional servicing.
Is the London Oak suitable to wear as a wedding ring?
When choosing your jewellery, take your activities into consideration. It is preferable to avoid wearing your wood jewellery to the beach, swimming pool or to play sport, gardening etc, so as to avoid knocking or scratching it. When choosing London Oak as a wedding ring you need to ask yourself whether you are going to be able to care for it. Although it has been in silt for over 2 thousand years you should avoid contact with water so as not to damage the wood. This means taking it off before you wash your hands or have a shower.
It is possible for us to replace the wood for you should it become damaged but if it is due to normal wear and tear and not a manufacturing fault this will incur a cost.
We encourage you to bring your London Oak jewellery back to us every year for professional servicing.
